“So very pleased with my beautiful floor. We were really unsure whether it was worth keeping our original parquet flooring as there were blocks missing and the bits were loose. Seeing past restorations these guys had done and their expertise and knowledge made us realise it was definitely the way to go and we are not disappointed. Thank you so much.

“The team from Ormrod Flooring were a joy to work with – watching real professionals who take great pride in their trade can be hard to find in this day and age.

Thank you for restoring our wonderful parquet dance floor to its former glory!

We will first come in and discuss the type of floor that you are looking for. There are many different alternatives, and it is important that you are equipped with all the relevant information so that you can make an informed choice.

  • This can be parquet, plank, solid engineered etc
  • The types of wood pine oak etc
  • Also the choice of factory finished or raw

From this point, the subfloor is assessed. This allows us to identify which subfloor preparation is needed.

Your chosen wood floor is then ordered and delivered to our customer within a minimum of 2-3 weeks ahead of the work commencing. This allows the floor to acclimatise to its environment. The need for this cannot be underestimated and can support the success or failure of any wood floor installation project.

From this point, it is arranged so that we can go in to prepare the floor. This means levelling it and putting down either ply or screed whichever is right for the particular type of floor.

We then start to lay the floor which is done over several days. Finally, if the floor is supplied as unfinished, the floor is sanded and finished in a finish of the customer’s choice.
